Dinosaurs to the rescue
I' m sorry to disappoint you.
The title would suggest something related to the imaginary world created by Spielberg. Instead I am referring, more prosaically, to grandparents, to all the grandparents of any age, sex, country and religion, with or without biological grandchildren, who are formally invited to participate in the publication of articles (in short, will be given the address where target items, nda.)
The dinosaurs ruled the Earth, and then died out for an exceptional event, namely the collision - it seems - a large meteorite with our planet.
This article, for dinosaur to be understood "the grandfather retired."
Like the dinosaurs, many grandparents, which moreover have excelled in their specific field of activity, then became a special human species into extinction, precisely that of the dinosaurs, and not by their own will but simply because, as pensioners, are no longer needed. Retirees are no longer useful, or according to others, they represent an unnecessary cost, a burden on society. As the meteorite to the dinosaur, so the 'retirement age for the professional are pure and simple events, extraordinary that the meteorite, the systemic' retirement age.
After a very short period of a few months, in which the pensioner savor the pleasure of having entirely of their day begins, imperceptibly but surely, a very particular process of extinction, which has nothing to do with that of physical decay, and that concerns specifically the intellectual life, and hence their identity. This progressive extinction in turn generates a loss of values and a crisis of identity so complex that I could not in any way to describe.
In my opinion, there are two keys to solving the problem. The first, the most important and natural, is the relationship with their grandchildren. The bond that holds grandfather and grandson is very strong. The 'other, at least for younger grandparents, is to return to being useful to society. Just so you can go back to being dinosaurs, precisely 'Dinosaurs On The Range.
Some days ago, I launched the proposal, shared by 'friend tonicopi, to entrust to this site grandchildren "grandfather Zef", we hope that our grandchildren know one day do better than us! And Tonicopi days ago he replied by email: "Oh yeah! Viva grandparents! Do you think I come to theorize that we should even have a say in legal terms than the parental authority, being that fathers and mothers have even generated them we!".
L 'useful. This is the magic word, which is often masked by the concept of good, generosity, altruism, in a sort of clever hoax and association. Life teaches, in fact, that often the streets of evil are paved with pious intentions.
Personally, I prefer to do something for my useful, especially if the 'action to achieve that profit public.
Finally, to network, I hope that my grandfather retired - especially when still young - can take an interest in many social problems of our daily lives.
not insignificant detail: doing the interests of others, also make their own. And, for heaven's sake, do not talk of selfishness or altruism. My belief is this: faced with a problem - of any kind - there are just different levels of responsibility.
