Learning English

Dear Grandchildren

My Kindle had the magical power to get me closer to reading. I have downloaded hundreds of books on the Kindle, even in English, which made me initially to improve my translation skills from ‘English.
Today I decided three things.

English Is Fun!

English Is Fun!

The first is to learn the ‘English globally, ie pronunciation, knowledge of grammatical rules, but also and above all knowledge of current literary, cultural, social and employment policies of the USA and of England’.
But the second thing is what I really care about, that leave a trace of my work that will be useful to you, dear grandchildren. I do this to kill time, you should do it for your future.

Finally (third point), it ‘s very interesting and enjoyable read directly from a book written in  English, without translation.
The knowledge of English is very important, especially if they catch even know the content and spirit. I’m not a professor of English, and probably does not mean that the method used by me to go well for you. And then I will describe my method, but if you do not like, do as you like.
The really important thing is the same: to learn ‘English anyway.
On my blog “Zeferino” I published this article in English, to urge you to start the ‘fascinating journey which I started. But you can find a copy in .doc format in the “HOBBY English, etc.” in Documents of my pc, entitled precisely “Learning Inglese”, together with a translation.
The contents of the folder “HOBBY English, etc.” are also a practical example of the method I followed.
The criterion of my method is very simple: I chose all my sources on the Internet, on the Web.

Risorse.

Below is a list of these sources:

  1. BBC  LEARNING ENGLISH  ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningenglish/ )
  2. Translations  Italian – English ( see the folder  “HOBBY English, etc.”, in Documents)SERIES
  3. English Conversation 1 xx  “Dialogue n° ….” (from  1 01 to 1 12; easy and funny!
  4. Series  English conversation from  2 13 to 2 21;
  5. Series “The Best English”; Enable the subtitles !
  6. Use the Google translator

Examine well the contents of the folder, and you will understand everything. If you do not understand something, you can ask me via e-mail, and if I can not answer, please contact Aunt Amalia.
Best of luck!

Nonno  Zeferino
